Sheer Joy Blog
It's never easy to write a blog after a match we lost. But lots of positives. We just got 2 overs after the rain, at a time where Yusuf was looking ominous. And the hurricane from Chris did not help. We fought back and just refused to die. Every time they looked to coast to a win, we took a wicket. And the close result ensured that our run rate remains pretty competitive.
It was a bruised, battered but defiant dressing room at the end of the game. This team may not win every game, but they will not give up.
Eoin left us to play his mandatory first class game before the test match selections. He may not have got as many runs as he would have liked, but was a great team man and an electrifying presence on the field. We will miss 'Captain Morgan', but it also means that other exciting talents like Shakib and Ryan will have a chance to show their skills.
We move to Mumbai next to play the Pune Warriors. It should be a really good game!
